In this project, you will work on an Automotive IP Substrate. You will learn the following Topics in this project

  • Geometry cleanup and geometry check for provided CAD
  • Thickness measurement at various parts and decide the type of the component
  • Mid surfacing by using various techniques
  • Meshing the Mid surface with provided Quality Criteria
  • Solving the failed elements by using Mesh improvement tools

Importance of Modelling IP Substrate

IP Substrate is a control panel usually located directly ahead of a vehicle's driver, displaying instrumentation and controls for the vehicle's operation. Also that is responsible to hold the equipment and instruments. It is very important to analyse the IP for static and dynamic loads. To perform analysis the first task is to discretize the part into finite number of elements which is called Pre-processing or Meshing. ANSA is used for pre-processing IP trim and make the model ready for any Analysis.
