    • Demonstrated the types and effects it will have on the same model.
  • FEA analysis on a uniformly loaded Cantilever beam
    • Analysis is performed on a cantilever beam.
    • Conditions and settings to replicate the model in the software are demonstrated.
    • 1D,2D and 3D analyses are performed on the same model and compared.
    • Post-process the simulation to get the results as plots
  • Buckling analysis of a cyclonic separator stand
    • Introduced to buckling analysis in SolidWorks
    • Demonstrated how to increase factor of safety of model
  • Fatigue Analysis on an S hook
    • Introduced to Fatigue analysis in Solidworks.
    • Understand the speed and torque variation 
  • Drop Test

    • Students are introduced on how to perform a Drop test on a model.
    • Factors that affect the drop test are explained.
    • Post processing the simulation to identify the results


Design and compare the effectiveness of beams under bending

  • Model 3 different types of beams in Solidworks
  • Beams are subjected to bending
  • Post process the results and suggest the best one

Analysis of Buckling in a cyclonic separator stand

  • The stand of a cyclonic separator is subjected to a buckling analysis
  • Additional member is added to the stand and analysed
  • Factor of safety is to be improved by performing a study.
