This course is full of best-in-class content by leading faculty and industry experts in the form of videos and projects

Course Overview

Bending moment and shear force diagrams are used in the design of structures like beams and columns. It is important for engineers in the civil industry to have an established understanding of bending moment and shear force diagrams as it helps in the optimization of structural designs. This reduces the chance of failures, and also cuts down on the overall weight of the building. Skill-Lync offers this course to take engineers through the various methods used to obtain and create bending moment and shear force diagrams with loading conditions that represent real-life scenarios.

By taking this course, learners will…

  • Understand the closed-form solutions and approximation methods available for obtaining bending moment and shear force diagrams for beams and frames.
  • Understand the differences in shear forces and bending moments in a structure based on the type of loading condition.
  • Get hands-on experience with ETABS, a software tool used for generating bending moment and shear force diagrams.
  • Complete projects that require a theoretical and practical understanding of how bending moment and shear force diagrams are used in the industry.

Who can enroll in this course?

Students and working professionals with a background in civil engineering can take this course.
