- The PG Program in Construction Project Management Fundamentals covers the major concepts of a construction project, such as construction scope, time, and cost.
- It encompasses the whole lifecycle of the construction project and introduces each area of construction to the learners.
- The learners will understand the flow of the project, key parameters to monitor, and the management techniques through schedule, contract, and cost management.
- During the coursework, they will learn in depth about
- Project design, planning, execution, control, and handover.
- Project process chart, work breakdown structure, project planning using PDM, CPM, and PERT, resource scheduling, resource levelling, and types of contracts.
- Applications of Primavera P6 for project planning and management for construction projects, including infrastructure, roads and railways, buildings, etc.
- Project communication matrix, progress monitoring and reporting systems, CPM and PERT analysis, productivity analysis, and project performance benchmarking.
- Dual roles of client and contractor-side participation, quantity calculation, unit price analysis, tendering process, and billing process.
- Contract and sub-contract management.
- They are also exposed to the modern trends and standard practises being followed in the industry right now.
- After completing this program, the students will be able to pursue a career as a planning engineer, cost engineer, project manager, construction engineer, procurement/contracts engineer, etc.
