Course Overview

  • This program is designed
    • Considering the complete Life cycle of a Design Phase in an Automotive Industry.
    • All the mandatory subdomains in BIW like Upper Body, Underbody, Closures, and Engine Compartment are covered in detail, whereas all design aspects with respect to tooling and production are covered.
  • One will be able to know the complete vehicle development process of both the DIGITAL and SERIAL LIFE processes.

Week 01 - Rear Door Design

Week 05 - Dash Frame Floor Tunnel design (DFFT Design)

    • Various parts, possible design variations, and joining methods for the floor

Week 06 - Joining Element

Industry Projects

Our projects are designed by experts in the industry to reflect industry standards. By working through our projects, Learners will gain a practical understanding of what they will take on at a larger-scale in the industry. In total, there are 4 Projects that are available in this program.

Design of Rear Door

In this project, the students will design the inner and outer panels of the rear door. The inner panels should be designed in such a way that the outer upper and outer lower panels should be fixed separately as per the design.

Design of Side Body

In this project, the students will design the Inner and Outer panels of the side body based on the data extracted from the class A surface. During the project work, they will design the inner and outer panel assembly.

Design of Side Door

In this project, students will be asked to design the inner and outer panels of the side door with the necessary reinforcement and mounting requirements for interior trims.

Design of Engine Compartment

In this project, students will have to design the engine compartment. The design should be based on the given reference.
