1)AIM AND INTRODUCTION:
To draw a g+1 residential floor plan as per vastu shastra and calculate the loads as per IS CODE.
Vastu is a part of civil engineering as the ancient engineer Vishwakarma words it is said that the vastu is used in every part of civil structure, and it has no expire date.
Now a day’s civil engineer are particular about the construction as per vastu.
In civil engineering point of view vastu helps the engineer to show the proper direction of doors, windows, bed directions, bedroom design, interior and entrance.
It also helps to give information about the house or building facing. The change in direction gives the change in vastu for the building or house.
Some of the vastu tips are-
Introduction of the project.
Building size- 30'x49'3".
It is a 2bhk house with staircase from outside. Building is north facing, main door placed at north east.
Column- 230mmx300mm, beam- 230mmx450mm, wall thickness- 230mm, wall height- 3mtrs, slab thickness- 125mm.
2) PROCEDURE:
Floor plan of the building is attached in the document.
Procedure begins with calculating the dead load and live load on the structure. Thereafter gives the actual load for the building design procedure.
Calculation of dead load.
1) SLAB:
ground floor and first floor-
30'*49'3"*2= 2955sft= 274.7sqmt
274.7*0.125*25= 858.3KN
2) BEAM:
0.23*0.45*25= 2.59KN/M.
total beam length- 300'- 91.56mtrs*2.59*2floors= 473.76KN.
3) COLUMN:
no of columns- 15, ht- 3mtrs
0.23*0.30*3*15*2floors= 6.21m3
6.21*25= 155.25KN.
4) WALL:
total length- 182.92mtrs, ht- 3mtrs, thk-0.23m, density- 20kn/m3.
DL= 182.92*3*0.23*20= 2525KN.
Total dead load= 858.34+473.76+155.25+2525= 4012KN.
CALCULATION OF LIVE LOAD:
Total live load= 1373.5KN.
* Wind loads are not considered for buildings with height less than 10mtrs as per is875.
Here building height is 6mtr, hence neglected.
As per IS875 load combinations,
Total load= 1.5( DL+LL)
1.5(4012+1373.5) = 8078.25KN.
3) RESULT:
For the above requirement, the floor plan is drawn for both ground floor and first floor.
As per vastu requirement,
Whereas structural part is considered, we have.
Drawings that needs to be provided for construction of the building are as follows.
