AIM: To sketch a plan of G+1 floor residential building according to vaastu shastra and listing down the names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the construction.
INTRODUCTION TO VAASTU SHASTRA:-
Vaastu shastra :-
Significance of Eight directions ;-
Basic principles of Vaastu Shastra :-
Rooms should be preferably be square or rectangle.
Rooms should be airy , well lit , bright and clean.
Centre of the house should be an empty space.
Heavy furnitures should be kept in the south-west direction.
Avoid keeping plants and water features in the bedroom.
Dining space should be near the kitchen and not near the main door.

South-west to be avoided.
PROCEDURE :-
Sketch of G+1 residential building floor plan ( plan is same for grond floor and first floor ).
Dimensions of plan :-
Bed room 1 = 4.0 x 3.0
Bed room 2 = 3.6 x 3.0
Dinning = 2.3 x 4.3
Living hall = 4.0 x 5.4
Kitchen = 2.6 x 3.0
Pooja = 1.5x 1.3
Portico = 4.0 x 4.2
Bath = 1.4 x 1.5
w.c = 1.3 x 1.7
Store = 1.3 x 1.4 ( All dimensions are in meters (m ) ).
Other Dimensions :
Calculation of loads :-
A. Dead load of columns :-
= (0.25 x 2 ) + 4 +3.5 = 8m.
= 0.72m3.
= 0.72 x 25 = 18 KN.
B . Dead load of Beams:
= 0.135 m3
= 3.375 KN.
C. Dead load of slabs :
= 0.25 m3.
= 6.25 KN.
D. Dead load of Walls :
= 4 x 0.23 x 1 x 20
= 18.4 KN.
= 16.1 KN.
As perr IS 875: part -2, for residential building , live loads are taken as follow :
The names of the structural drawings required to be provided to the site foe construction are as follow:
RESULTS:
