RESULTS AND DISCUSSIONS
COMPONENTS TO MESH
Latch
The component was mesh according to the set criteria. It can be seen in the image below that all mesh quality was met with zero failure.
Some checks was done on the material after meshing. Surface connectivity with mesh was checked and all meshes exceeding the limits were fixed by projecting the mesh onto the surface
Checked for mesh duplicates and edges.
Outer Body
The component was mesh according to the set criteria. It can be seen in the image below that all mesh quality was met with zero failure.
It can be seen that because the component is symmetrical, i meshed half and then reflected it over to the next half using the reflect function
Some checks was done on the material after meshing. Surface connectivity with mesh was checked and all meshes exceeding the limits were fixed by projecting the mesh onto the surface
Checked for mesh duplicates and edges.
Inner Body
The component was mesh according to the set criteria. It can be seen in the image below that all mesh quality was met with zero failure.
Some checks was done on the material after meshing. Surface connectivity with mesh was checked and all meshes exceeding the limits were fixed by projecting the mesh onto the surface
Checked for mesh duplicates and edges.
Hinge One
The component was mesh according to the set criteria. It can be seen in the image below that all mesh quality was met with zero failure.
It can be seen that because the component is symmetrical, i meshed half and then reflected it over to the next half using the reflect function
Some checks was done on the material after meshing. Surface connectivity with mesh was checked and all meshes exceeding the limits were fixed by projecting the mesh onto the surface
Checked for mesh duplicates and edges.
Hinge Two
The Hinge 2 is the exact replica of hinge 1 so after i just reflected the hinge one across components
CONCLUSION
The hood was succesfully meshed according to the set criteria and ready to be used for durability testing
