Project 2nd - Sketch a G+1 residential plan accordingly to Vaastu Shastra and Calculation of Loads as per IS codes
Aim of project: Sketch a G+1 residential plan accordingly to Vaastu Shastra for healthy family and get positive energy from nature and Calculation of Loads as per IS codes
Introduction: we design a residential (G+1) Building by applying Vaastu shastra for better healthy and happy life style with positive energy and load calculations on building accordings to IS codes i.e. IS456:2000, IS 875:1987(part 1), IS 875:1987(part 2), IS 875:1987(part 3) and mentions all required drawing to be used for construction
[Note: building height is less than 10m so no need consider of wind load comming on building]
* following drawing required to be provided to the site for construction.
- Centre line drawing
- Footing & column layout with R/F details
- Column schedule with R/F details
- Plinth beam layout with R/Fdetails
- First floor beam layout with R/F details
- First Floor Slab layout with R/F
- Lift pit and Headroom R/F details
* following are the assumed values for the mrmbers
1) column = 0.3 X 0.3
2) beams = 0.3 X 0.4(depth of beam)
3) height of wall = 3m
4) depth of slab 100mm
* Loads calculation from the members
1) self wt of column = 0.3 X 0.3 X 3 X 25 = 6.75 KN (for 1 column only for first floor)
so no of column on ground floor = 14
no of column on first floor = 14
no of column on terrace = 2
total no column of same size = 32
total dead load of column = 32 X 6.75 = 216 KN
2) Self wt of beam = 0.3 X 0.4 X 25 = 3 KN/m length of beam
a) length of beam for first floor
external beam length = 14.2+9.9+14.2+9.9 = 48.2m
internal beam length = 9.9+9.9+9.9+14.2 = 43.9m
b) length of beam for second floor
external beam length = 14.2+9.9+14.2+9.9 = 48.2m
internal beam length = 9.9+9.9+9.9+14.2 = 43.9m
c) length of beam for slab = ( head room beams ) = 3+2+3+2 = 10m
* total length of beam = 48.2+43.9+48.2+43.9+10 = 194.2m
so, total self wt of beam = 194.2 X 3 = 582.6 KN
3) load on slab
size of slab = 14.2 X 9.9 - ( 3 X 2) area of head room = 134.58 m^2
so self wt of slab = 134.58 X 25 X 0.1 = 336.45 KN
live load of slab...................(take 1.5kN/M^2) for roof access is provided
so live load on slab= 134.58 X 1.5 = 201.87 KN
4) dead load of walls ( take masonary wall so unit wt of wall = 20KN/m^3 )
size of wall = 0.3 X 3 X 25 = 22.5 KN/m length of the wall
wall below the all beams so
total length of beam = total length of wall = 194.2m
total self wt of wall = 22.5 X 194.2 = 4369.5 KN
5) self wt of first floor ( by considering open terrace also )
size of first floor= 13 X 9 X 0.1 = 11.7 m^2
dead load of first floor = 11.7 X 25 = 292.5 KN
live load on first floor = 2KN/M^2
so total live load = 2X171= 342 KN
6) Dead load of head room
size of head room= 3X2m = 6m^2
dead load oh head room = 6 X 0.1 X 25 = 15 KN
* Result
Dead load
1) Columns = 216 KN
2) Beams = 582.6 KN
3) Slab = 336.45 KN
4) walls = 4369.5 KN
5) Floor = 292.5 KN
6) head room = 23.4 KN
Live load
1) slab = 201.87 KN
2) first floor = 342 KN
