Aim:
To mesh the given models separately using the above mentioned Quality criteria.
Procedure:
The given hood model consists of four major parts - Hinge, Latch, Inner surface, Outer surface. Take each component separaterly and mesh them with following quality criteria.
These are the given input data in criteria editor to mesh the componenets with given constraints.
Quality index tool is used in the 2D mesh panel to optimize the element size and to meet all the quality criteria.
Also other tools like rebuild mesh are also used to optimize the element quality.
In tool panel the above mentioned options were used to create edge and to check normal vector, dependency and penetration of the elements.
Components:
Latch:
Meshed model of Latch extract.
From the above Figure it's witnessed that there are no violations in thresholds which is given as input.
The above image shows the edges created in the mesh created for the latch extract.
This image shows the normal vector for each elements created for the latch component. All the normal vectors for the created elements acts in the same direction.
There are no dependency or penetration for the above created elements.
Hinge Component:
Similar to the latch component, the same set of data is extracted for the hinge components.
There are no dependency or penetration for the above created elements.
Outer Surface:
The midline is created for meshing the hemming region in the outer surface.
There are no dependency or penetration for the above created elements.
Inner Surface:
There are no dependency or penetration for the above created elements.
Conclusion:
Thus the given hood component is meshed and the elements were created without violating the given thresholds.
